Marvin Hamlisch's life in music is notable for its great versatility, as well as substance. As a composer, Mr. Hamlisch has won virtually every major award that exists for the field: three Oscars, four Grammys, four Emmys, a Tony, and three Golden Globes. His groundbreaking show, A Chorus Line, received the Pulitzer Prize, and he has composed more than forty motion picture scores. Marvin Hamlisch is an Artist Member of the Wolf Trap Foundation Board of Directors, and he holds the position of Principal Pops Conductor with the National Symphony Orchestra.
